AAL - Interface
Europe has one of the highest shares of elderly people in the world. In 2016, already 19% of the European population was 65 years and over. Looking at the prognoses, this share will increase to 29% by 2070; meaning that more than 1 in 4 people in Europe will be 65 years or over. As people grow older, it is expected that there will be more people with age-related chronic diseases and in need of long-term care.
AAL - UX research
During the common interviews in the nursing homes, a serious shortage of caregivers for elderly care was found, which bought us the attention of elderly care service. Then, we gained insight into the current circumstances and barriers of care services in Germany through various studies; and systematically analyzed common home care processes by building personas and scenarios analysis and compared them with various related products and prototypes to find the key product pain points. Finally, at the end of the report, we propose a systematic solution for specific usage scenarios.
Festival crowd alarm
Germany has a long tradition of regional fairs, with more than 50 different fairs each year. The "Festival Guide" is a navigation application that consolidates information about the various events and provides a comprehensive basic service for festival-goers. It also collects crowd movements, predicts crowd hazards such as mass panic in advance, and shows the nearest service points in case of emergencies.
